Claremont Seeks New City Manager Following Recent Resignation

This change in leadership follows the City Council's previous decision to terminate the former city manager due to conflicts related to management approaches.

Claremont, N.H. is now on the lookout for a new city manager, as Nancy Bates has decided to step down after less than one year in the position. Bates, who took the role in December after serving as interim manager for a period, has her exit confirmed by the town's mayor.

This change in leadership follows the City Council's previous decision to terminate the former city manager due to conflicts related to management approaches. The reasons behind Bates' resignation have not been made public yet.

In addition to the city manager position, Claremont is facing several other staffing challenges, with openings for a library director, health inspector, building inspector, finance director, and parks and recreation director. The city recently garnered attention on a national scale due to issues concerning the financial management of its school district.
